Course Description
This webinar provides hands-on tutorial to navigate the new iOS application, iVoiceTherapy. The course will begin with patient registration and discuss task applicability based on diagnosis including each audio vocal exercise. Instruction is given to program intervals that alert patients to complete their series of tasks. Biofeedback tabs will be discussed including speaking volume, pitch, hydration, task completion, self-rating scales, cough count and throat clearing count. The course will additionally cover “vocal iq” of patient education where they are asked to analyze disordered voice qualities and may peruse our stroboscopy lab to visualize different vocal pathologies. If you are unable to take our webinar on the scheduled date, it will be available on our website for 1 calendar year.

13:00 – 13:15 Introduction. Rationale for application development and strategies for implementation as a learning tool for novice and expert voice therapists.
13:15 – 13:45 Patient education tab / Vocal IQ: Awareness of abnormal voice qualities and pairing this with visualization of pathologies.
13:45 – 14:15 Review vocal exercises and how to apply based on diagnosis.
14:15 – 14:30 Programming iVoiceTherapy.

Learning Objectives
1) Independently program iVoiceTherapy on iPhone and iPad
2) Verbalize which vocal exercises are appropriate based on diagnosis and task completion frequency to maximize rapid outcomes.
3) Utilize Vocal IQ patient education tab as pocket reference of laryngeal pathologies and perceptual abnormalities.
4) Ascertain strategies to reduce length of treatment by integrating iVoiceTherapy into clinical practice.
